In this guide, we will take a brief look at the product requirements for CDON.
CDON has several product-level requirements that need to be met before you can publish your products. As of October 2021, CDON will start sharpening its requirements which means you will have to include barcode numbers, manufacturer part numbers, and brands in your product data.
General product-level requirements
- Product name
- Description
- Images
- Price
- Category
- Properties / Attributes
These can be considered basic requirements and will all need to be filled out before a product can be sent to CDON. Additional attributes might need to be set depending on the category chosen and whether or not the products are part of a group, read more about grouping products here.
Specific requirements
As of October 2021, you are required to include the following on your products:
- Manufacturer Part Number (MPN)
- GTIN / EAN
- Brand
Failure to do so will result in your products being rejected by CDON.
These requirements are all attributes that will help further identify your products and can tell CDON how your products are doing sales-wise, meaning they can better target relevant buyers and increase your exposure.
Good to know:
- The manufacturer part number is only required for products that do not have a GTIN or EAN number.
