How do I create my own import template
You can create your own import template in two different ways, we will show you how below.
Template by export
One of the fastest ways to create an excel import template is to export the fields you wish to include in the template. You can export the fields in two different ways:
- Excel export tool
- Quick export tool
You can read more about how to export products here.
Once all fields and products have been exported, you have created your template! To use it for different products, with different data, you just have to remove the products that are already in the file and the data in the columns, while keeping the column names.
The empty file with only column names is your new template, and you can fill the columns with the information you wish to import!
Template from scratch
The second method to creating your template is to open a new excel file, with no information added. Then you manually add each column you wish to include in the template, you can find all valid column names for our export function on the import page here.
Or you can find the names for the columns by following the below steps:
- Go to your inventory in Sello
- Click on Edit on a product to open it
- Go to the Details section
- Open the tab for the marketplace with the field you wish to include in your template
- Click on the name of the field, this will open a window containing the valid column name and valid attributes
- Copy the column name and add it to your excel file
- Done!
Once all column names have been added to the excel file, your template is ready, and you can fill the cells with the information you wish to import!
