Looking to get started selling on Stadium? This guide contains the steps detailing how to configure your Stadium integration, how to get your products ready to go live, and how to test your order set-up.
Before proceeding, you need to make the connection between Sello and Stadium if you have not done so already, you'll find instructions in this guide.
Getting your products ready
To go live on Stadium, you need to make sure your products meet Stadium's standards.
What do I need to add?
What Stadium requires you to include in your product data is largely dependent och the category you will be selling in, but there are other factors in play here, which makes it hard to include in this guide.
But luckily Sello will highlight the requirements for you and will notify you if you try and put an incomplete product up for sale.
What can I add?
You can add all of the information that is visible on the Stadium tab on the detail page of your products in Sello. All mandatory information will be marked red until it has been added.
How do I add the information?
You can enrich your products either one by one, in bulk, with quick edit or with excel.
Sending product data to Stadium
When you have changed or added something to a product, you want it to be sent to Stadium for validation. Sello automatically sends all updated product information to Stadium once every night, but this does not mean that you can not send any updates during the day!
You can submit all product data (attributes, images, descriptions), or all offer data (prices and stock) byt following the below steps:
- Go to your settings on the top right
- Go to Channels
- Scroll down to Stadium and open the settings
- Click on Submit all products or submit all offers
- Done! The products or offers have been sent to Stadium.
Stadium's basic product requirements
Below you will find a list of Stadium's basic requirements.
Categories
Categories are mandatory on Stadium, and you can add them either directly on the product or with excel. If you are going to add the categories with excel, you can find all valid categories here.
Attributes
Stadium has multiple mandatory attributes that each product will need in order to go live. They will all be visible on the detail page when you edit the products, and we have included the most common mandatory attributes below:
- EAN / GTIN
- Brand
- Color
- Size
- Genders
Brand is an important attribute to keep in mind, as it will be required for all products. When you are getting started on Stadium, or listing new products, you need to contact Stadium and ask them to register your brands in case they have not already been created in their system.
Description
You need to add a description and title to each product in the language of the country you are connected to, you can do this in the Description section while editing the product, or with excel. If you are unsure what to add to the description or title, you will need to contact Stadium so that they can guide you.
Images
Stadium has specific image requirements concerning image size, background, and more. Make sure that all of your images follow Stadium's guidelines, or they could be the source of a lot of errors later down the line.
If you are unsure of Stadium's image requirements you will need to contact Stadium, they will give you all details you need.
Prices
You can add prices directly to the products in the Price section while editing a product, or with excel. When adding prices for Stadium you are able to add them in the Price field and Campaign price field. The Campaign price always needs to be lower than Price, and will be sent if it is added to the product. If no Campaign price is added, we will instead send the Price.
Matching products
If the products in your inventory already are being sold on Stadium by other retailers, you will be able to match them to your own inventory. When a product is matched, you will not need to add as many mandatory attributes in Sello, and Sello will only send the price and stock levels for the product to Stadium.
Activating products
To make Sello push a product to Stadium, it needs to be activated for the Stadium country you are connected to. If you are connected to multiple countries, you need to activate the product for each country you are going to sell it on.
You can activate the product by clicking on Edit and going to the General tab, then click on the country you wish to activate the product on.
It is also possible to activate multiple products with excel, you can read more about different ways to activate products here.
Errors and statuses for Stadium
When your products are active and you have filled in all mandatory fields in Sello, the product will be sent to Stadium, where Stadium will validate each product both automatically and manually.
While Sello is waiting for Stadium to validate the products you have activate, the products will have the status Waiting for Stadium in Sello. This means that Sello is waiting for Stadium, and if you notice products having this status for longer than a few days, you will need to contact Stadium and ask them to check internally why your product has not been accepted yet.
All error messages from Stadium's automatic validation will be visible in Sello with red highlights. Stadium does manually validate products as well however, and these errors will not be visible in Sello. Most often these errors will cause the product to be stuck with the status Waiting for Stadium, but may sometimes look accepted, and you will need to contact Stadium for more information.
I'm live, now what?
When the products have been accepted by Stadium with no errors, you will officially go live, congratulations! 🎉
If there are still products in your inventory that have not gone live you can keep working on enriching them as usual, and follow the previous steps to push brand new products live as well.
