In this guide, we will show you how to work with campaigns in Sello.
There are different ways to work with campaigns in Sello, but the main feature of the campaign function is to lower and then higher a price during set dates, to remove the hassle of having to keep track of a campaign's end date and lowering the prices again manually.
Below we will show you all of the tools the campaign function offers, along with answering some of our frequently asked questions about campaigns.

The difference between a campaign and a lowered price
The main difference between a campaign and a lowered price is that a campaign is sent to the marketplace with a campaign disclaimer, which means that the marketplace will know it is a campaign and show it as such to the customers, usually with a specific discount tag.
Campaigns are also time-specified, so it is a lowering of the price but only during a set amount of time, then the price is automatically set back to the original price.
When you lower the price without using the campaign feature, the marketplace will not always see it as a campaign, and may not add the discount tag. You will also need to set the price back to the original price once the discount should end, instead of it being done automatically.
Campaigns that are active forever
It is not technically possible to have a campaign that is active forever, but you can create campaigns that are active for multiple years. Once those years are up, you could then copy the campaign and set a new date, a few years in the future.
However most marketplaces have functions set in place that lower the RRP price of the product to the campaign price if the campaign price is active for too long, so we do not suggest doing forever campaigns if it can be avoided.
Copying a campaign
When you copy a campaign, you are copying all settings and name for the campaign, and you can choose whether to add the same products to the campaign as well.
The thing you will need to change in a copied campaign is the start and end date, as it will automatically be a 7 day long campaign.
Below we will show you the steps to copy a campaign.
1. Hover over the campaign you wish to copy, then click on the copy button to the right.
2.
3.
See if product is active in a campaign
You can see if a product is currently in an active campaign by opening the product, then going to the Price tab and opening the prices for the marketplace and country where the campaign should be applied.
