In this guide, we have compiled some of the most frequently asked questions regarding our Mirakl based marketplaces.
Activate products
The first step to get started on any marketplace is to activate the products, you can find a guide to activating products here.
Brand issues
You may run into issues with your brand when you first get started on a Mirakl marketplace, such as the brand being marked as invalid.
This is because all Mirakl marketplaces require you to register your brand if it does not already exist in their system.
You register the brand by contacting the marketplace and showing them the brand you wish to sell, they will then add it to their data and any errors on the product in Sello will be removed.
How often are products synced?
Product data is synced automatically to Mirakl marketplaces at around 02.00 every night, but you can trigger a manual sync of the product data by following the below steps.
- Click on the icon to the top right.
- Go to your settings.
- Choose Channels
- Go to the marketplace you wish to resync the products for, in this example we have chosen Elkjøp.
- Click on Submit all products if you wish to resync all products, you can also select Submit all offers if you wish to resync the prices and stock.
Why does it say my product is waiting for the marketplace?
Once a product has been activated and all mandatory attributes have been added, you may see the below message:
This means that all product data has been sent to the marketplace, and Sello is waiting for the marketplace to create the product.
If you see this message for multiple days on the same product, contact the marketplace and ask them why the product has not been created yet.
The difference between Product & Offer
When speaking to Mirakl marketplaces, you may run into the terms Product and Offer.
- Product - The bulk of the product data, such as images, descriptions, sizes and other attributes.
- Offer - The prices and stock levels.
The Product and Offer are sent in 2 separate syncs to the marketplace from Sello, which means that in some cases the Offer may be sent before the Product has been created, causing the price and stock to be missing once the product does get created.

Why does Mirakl say my product does not exist?
When a product is activated on a Mirakl marketplace, Sello will firstly send a Product import, and an Offer import a few minutes later.
However if the product does not get created on the marketplace after a few minutes, Sello will still send an Offer import, but since the product has not been created it will generate the error:
The product does not exist
This error means that an Offer import has been sent before the product has been created, and it is nothing to be worried about as it only means the product has not been created yet.
My product is active and has no errors, why does it not go live?
If your product has no errors in Sello and is active on the marketplace, but it does not show up in Mirakl or on the site, you will need to contact the marketplace so they can look internally if there are any errors that need to be fixed.
Sometimes a marketplace may have manual errors that are not visible in Sello, but still need to be fixed.
How do I resync all Products & Offers to Mirakl?
Sometimes a Mirakl marketplace may request you to resend the Product or Offer data, you can trigger a manual sync of the product data by following the below steps.
- Click on the icon to the top right.
- Go to your settings.
- Choose Channels
- Go to the marketplace you wish to resync the products for, in this example we have chosen Elkjøp.
- Click on Submit all products if you wish to resync all products, you can also select Submit all offers if you wish to resync the prices and stock.
