How to work with Elkjøp Nordic campaigns

In this guide, we will look at working with campaign-related attributes on Elkjøp Nordic.

In accordance with EU guidelines, all discounted offers on Elkjøp must include a discount disclaimer and information on when the discount starts and ends.

Sello will automatically ensure that all required details are sent in along with the product data, by default, the duration of the sale will be set to 2 years, and the discount disclaimer used will be "Sale".

This means that the requirements will be met automatically, but we strongly recommend that you add a custom start/stop date and a more detailed disclaimer.

There are two ways to accomplish this, manually adding the attributes in Sello or setting them using a file import.

Adding the information manually using the inventory in Sello

Adding the attributes manually entails searching for and adding the below attributes in the details -tab:

• Property ElkjopCampaignStart
• Property ElkjopCampaignEnd
• Property ElkjopDiscountDisclaimer

Here is how:

1. Log into Sello
2. Go to: Inventory
3. Find your desired product
4. Click: Edit
5. Go to the Details -tab
6. Click: Add more details
7. Search for: Elkjøp and add the attributes one by one
8. Fill the attributes out
9. Click: Save

The date in the Elkjøp campaign start/end date attributes needs to be input like year-month-day, e.g: 2024-10-21

The Elkjøp Discount Disclaimer attribute is text-based and you are free to input whatever you like and serves as a description of your campaign. You can also add translations in Swedish, Finish, Danish, and Norwegian and Sello will send the translation to its corresponding Elkjøp channel.

Here is what Elkjøp recommends you use if you don't have a specific disclaimer of your own, replace XX.XX with the start and end dates:

Adding the information using the Excel import

Using the Excel import means you can set these attributes for a large number of products at the same time.

To do this, your file needs to contain:

• The product(s) on which to apply the updates
• The attribute itself
• A valid attribute value

For this guide, we will show you how to use the Quick Export feature to export a product that already has the necessary attributes, which will give us ready-made columns containing the correct attribute IDs.

1. Log into Sello
2. Go to: Inventory
3. Click: Select columns
4. Search for: Elkjøp
5. Select all Elkjøp campaign attributes
6. Click: Save
7. Select all products you wish to update, including the one that already has the info
8. Click: Actions
9. Click: Export to Excel
10. Make your changes in the file
11. Export the file as .xlsx
12. In Sello, go to: Import / export
13. Find Excel in the Import -section and click: Import
14. Make sure to select: Update products with my file
15. Select your file
16. Click Start

If you have not already added the attributes to a product, you can make the file from scratch. The attribute IDs that you need to use are:

• Property ElkjopCampaignStart
• Property ElkjopCampaignEnd
• Property ElkjopDiscountDisclaimer

Keep in mind that you will also need Sello article numbers or SKUs for Sello to know which product to update.

• Id
• Sku
