How to create attributes in WooCommerce

In this guide, we will show you how to create the required product attributes in WooCommerce and how to then choose these for use in Sello.

For Sello to be able to sync products to your WooCommerce webshop, you need to create attributes for “Color”, “Size”, “Model” and “Brand”.

If you don’t do this, WooCommerce won’t be able to recognize the values sent from Sello. Color, size, brand, and model are some of the most commonly used product properties.

Color, size, model is also the three supported group types in Sello.

Here's how to create the attributes:

1. Log into WP-admin.
2. Go to: "Products" -> "Attributes".
3. Input the name of the attribute you would like to create.
4. Click: “Add attribute”.

Repeat this step for all the required attributes.

You'll then need to tell Sello what your newly created attributes are called in the WooCommerce settings.

Here's how: 

1. Log into Sello.
2. Go to: "Settings" -> "Webshops" and find "WooCommerce".
3. Click: "Settings".
4. Chose the attributes created in the respective menus.
