In this guide, we will show you how to migrate from Fyndiq API v2 to v3.
Fyndiq recently launched its new platform and with that comes a new API version that all sellers will be required to use. So if you are using an earlier version, you will have to upgrade.
To make it easier for you to get started using Fyndiq v3 and since Fyndiq v2 and v3 use the same category hierarchy, you can export your Fyndiq v2 categories from Sello and then use the file to set these on your Fyndiq v3 products, that way you don't have to re-categorize your products manually.
First of all, you need to make sure you have a connection to Fyndiq v3 in Sello, read more here.
The next step is to export your Fyndiq v2 categories from Sello and then re-import these for your v3 connection.
Here's how:
- Log into Sello.
- In the top-left menu, find "Import / export".
- Go to the "Export" section.
- Click: "Export Inventory".
At this point you need to choose what columns to export, you need to choose Sello article number (Item no) and your Fyndiq categories (Category), with the latter being found further down, by clicking your Fyndiq 2 integration.
When you have selected the required columns, click: "Export Inventory".
A file will now be downloaded.
Done!
The next step is to make sure the file is ready to be used to update your products for your Fyndiq v3 integration.
To do that, you need to rename the Fyndiq category column to "Fyndiq3 category"
If you have more than one Fyndiq v3 integration on your account, you need to find the Fyndiq v3 integration id for the integration you would like to update, which will then be used to name the category column in the file to set the integration apart. You can find it in Sello.
Here's how:
- Log into Sello.
- In the top-left menu, find "Import / export".
- Find "Excel" in the Import -section.
- Click: "Import".
- Scroll down until you find your Fyndiq v3 integration.
- Click your Fyndiq v3 integration.
- Copy the integration id seen in one of the names here.
If you have more than one Fyndiq v3 integration, the name will look like this: "Fyndiq3 category #(integration id)"
When the file has been edited and saved, it is time to import it to Sello.
Here's how:
- Log into Sello.
- In the top-left menu, find "Import / export".
- Find "Excel" in the Import -section.
- Click: "Import".
- Choose: "Update products with my file".
- Select your file.
- Click: "Start".
Your file will now be queued for processing, you can see your estimated wait time to the right.
Done!
Good to know:
- You can use the import / export features to give your products other information required to put them up for sale on Fyndiq's new platform, such as prices and texts.
