In this guide, we will show you how to migrate from Fyndiq API v1 to v3.
Fyndiq recently launched its new platform and with that comes a new API version that all sellers will be required to use. So if you are using an earlier version, you will have to upgrade.
To make it easier for you to get started using Fyndiq v3, you can export your categories from Fyndiq and import these in Sello, that way you don't have to re-categorize your products.
First of all, you need to make sure you have a connection to Fyndiq v3 created in Sello, read more here.
The next step is to export your Fyndiq categories from their platform and import these in Sello.
Here's how:
- Log into Fyndiq Merchant: https://fyndiq.se/merchant/login
- Go to: "Produkter".
- Select all products.
- Click the "Åtgärd" -list.
- Select: "Exportera till CSV (Excel)".
- Click: "Utför".
At this point you will be asked to select which columns to export, the columns you need are "Platform article ID" and "Category ID".
When you have selected the above columns, click: "Exportera".
A file will now be sent to you via email.
Done!
This file now needs to be edited to fit our standard and then be imported to Sello for your Fyndiq v3 integration.
Here's how:
- Rename "Platform article ID" to "Id".
- Rename "Category ID" to "Fyndiq3 category"
- Save / export the file as Excel (.XLSX).
If the product wasn't uploaded to Fyndiq using Sello, you will get the product's SKU instead of its Sello article number. This product will not be updated in Sello if the product cannot be found in the inventory.
If the product is in the inventory, either exchange its SKU for its Sello article number och put it in a separate column using the header "Sku".
If you have more than one Fyndiq v3 integration on your account, you need to find the Fyndiq v3 integration id for the account you would like to update, this will then be used to name the category column in the file to set the integration apart. You can find it in Sello.
Here's how:
- Log into Sello.
- In the top-left menu, find "Import / export".
- Find "Excel" in the Import -section.
- Click: "Import".
- Scroll down until you find your Fyndiq v3 integration.
- Click your Fyndiq v3 integration.
- Copy the integration id seen in one of the names here.
If you have more than one Fyndiq v3 integration, the name will look like this: "Fyndiq3 category #(integration id)"
Done!
When the columns in the file have been renamed, it is time to import the file in Sello.
Here's how:
- Log into Sello.
- In the top-left menu, find "Import / export".
- Find "Excel" in the Import -section.
- Click: "Import".
- Choose: "Update products with my file".
- Select your file.
- Click: "Start".
Your file will now be queued for processing, you can see your estimated wait time to the right.
Done!
Good to know:
- Your products still need information such as price, description, name, and more before they can be put up for sale on Fyndiq's new platform, you can use the import / export features set this in bulk. Read more here.
