How to configure ChannelConnector for Magento 2

In this guide, we will show you how to configure our ChannelConnector extension for Magento 2.

Before you can start using the extension, there are several things that will need to be looked at. These include mapping your own categories to those of the marketplaces and synchronizing channels and properties. Below is a basic walkthrough.

Carriers

In this section, you synchronize all available carriers from Sello. You can then select which of these corresponds with your own carriers.

1. Log into Magento admin.
2. Go to the "ChannelConnector" -tab.
3. Click: "Carriers".
4. Click: "Sync carriers".
5. Click: "Add new mapping".
6. Select your carrier in the "Magento" list.
7. Find the corresponding carrier in the "ChannelConnector" list.
8. Click: "Save".

Categories

The ChannelConnector extension lets you map your own categories to the marketplace categories, this way, you won't have to set a category for each marketplace, on each product. This is done by first importing the category hierarchy for each channel you are connected to, and then finding which categories correspond to your own internal categories.

Here's how:

1. Log into Magento admin.
2. Go to the "ChannelConnector" -tab.
3. Click: "Categories".
4. Click: "Sync categories".

Next, you'll need to create a connection between the categories:

1. Go to: "Catalog" -> "Categories".
2. Choose a category in the tree to the left.
3. Go to the "ChannelConnector" -tab.
4. Choose which marketplace category your category corresponds to.
5. Click: "Save".

Channels

When you have connected your Sello account to one or more sales channels, these need to be synchronized to Magento for you to be able to put your products up for sale there.

Here's how:

1. Log into Magento admin.
2. Go to the "ChannelConnector" -tab.
3. Click: "Channels".
4. Click: "Sync channels".

Remember to repeat this if you add new channels to Sello.

Messages

This section will display any messages you might have received in Sello, such as errors, etc.
Messages will sync in the background every hour, however, you can manually fetch messages at any time by clicking "Sync messages".

Properties

In order for the extension to be able to communicate your product attributes to the marketplaces, you'll need to import the list of supported properties in Sello and map your attributes to one of Sello's own.

Here's how:

1. Log into Magento admin.
2. Go to the "ChannelConnector" -tab.
3. Click: "Properties".
4. Click: "Sync properties".

Next, you'll need to find the Sello counterpart for your own attributes.

1. Click: "Stores".
2. Under "Attributes", click: "Product".
3. Click on an attribute.
4. Choose its Sello counterpart in the list at the bottom.
5. Click either: "Save attribute" or "Save and Continue Edit".

 Good to know:

• The first time you edit a product, it will be created in Sello.
