In this guide, we will show you how to get started using our ChannelConnector plugin for Shopify.
ChannelConnector for Shopify lets you use the Sello platform while still running your webshop like you normally would.
When the plugin is installed, we will import your products to Sello, after the one-time import, only product stock will be synchronized for that product. This means that changes you make in Shopify won't show up in Sello and vice versa.
You now have two separate inventories, with shared stock.
Orders are processed in Shopify as usual.
This set-up is great for sellers who are comfortable working with orders in their own system but still want to utilize Sellos many features and functions to increase their revenue by selling on marketplaces.
In order to use the ChannelConnector plugin for Shopify, you'll need a Sello account.
Get one here: https://sello.io/en/register
In the registration process you'll be asked to choose a channel to sell on among other things, if you're already approved as a seller here, you'll be able to complete the connection immediately. If not, a temporary connection will be created and you can complete the set-up at a later time.
Once the registration process is complete, an account will be created. The account will be entirely free for 14 days, giving you time to complete the set-up process and get your products ready, etc.
When the Sello account is taken care of, it's time to install the plugin.
Here's how:
- Go to: https://shopify-ui.sello.now.sh
- Input your Shopify address in the field.
- Click: "Install".
You'll now be taken to Shopify, where you need to click: "Install unlisted app".
When installed, it is time to connect it to Sello.
Here's how:
- Go to: "Apps".
- Click: "Connect to Sello".
- Sign in using your Sello credentials.
If you have yet to create a Sello account, you can do so now by clicking "Sign up now!". Please look further up in this guide for generall info regarding registering a Sello account.
Done!
- You can easily go to your Sello inventory at any time by going to "Apps" -> "ChannelConnector" and then clicking: "Manage products".
